2008 Release

May in the Yarra Valley means cool nights and warm sunny days with the vineyards displaying the glorious colours of Autumn.
In the cellar the 2010 wines are safely in barrel following a smooth, indeed close to ideal vintage.
We are taking advantage of the mild weather to sow down a cover crop of winter oats in the vineyard and looking to sharpen our secateurs for the pruning season ahead.
May also means the release of the new vintage and we are pleased to announce the release of the 2008 wines.
This vintage holds significant historical value being the last time that Dr Carrodus directed the winemaking.
The 2008 wines are rich and generous, they show great ageing potential and will be a fitting legacy to the founder of Yarra Yering.
Underhill didn't come up to the mark in 2008 and so true to the long established principle of Yarra Yering no Underhill will be released this year.
The release to the mailing list will be on the weekend of 1st and 2nd May with a release to the general public on May 8 and 9. The 2008 wines will be on tasting up till May 14.
All the wines are available for purchase via the website or by phone on (03) 59 649267.
