Aroma: The classic Cabernet blue fruits, cassis and leafy herbal notes. The Malbec playing its part with inky robust fruit, vibrance and ample tannins.

Palate: Agincourt Cabernet always exhibits classic cabernet characters of cassis and dark berry fruits, along with a unique herbaceous. The Malbec plays its part with inky robust plum and black cherry and ample tannins to provide beautifully balanced structure.

Hand harvested, crushed and destemmed into the half-tonne open fermenters. Hand plunged twice daily with some extended time on skins to soften the Cabernet tannins. Basket pressing and malolactic fermentation in French Bordeaux all 2 year old shaped barrels for 20 months.

Vines: Fruit was sourced from Agincourt Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 1995, Malbec planted in 1990.  77% Cabernet, 23% Malbec. The Agincourt block has one of the most sheltered sites on the Yarra Yering vineyard.

Cellaring: Drinking beautifully at present and will continue to evolve for upto 5 years under suitable cellaring conditions.
