Made solely from the original 1969 plantings. Historically open-fermented in our custom-made small fermenters & finished in barrel, it is made to age in bottle . Makes no qualms about its individuality of style. 100% malolactic fermentation is employed, a natural process that adds complexity, roundness and decreases inherent acidity, a pleasing albeit rare option afforded in Australian winemaking. Aged in 40% new French oak it combines intense opulence with fine linearity, finesse & textural flintiness.
