Dry Red Wine No.3
Utilises a purpose-planted very hungry site in a natural amphitheatre at the highest and most southerly point of the vineyard for making this dry red from classic Portuguese varieties. Predominantly Touriga Naςional and includes (in diminishing proportions) Tinta Cão, Tinta Amarela, Alvarelhao, Roriz and Sousão. It is very much a “sum of its parts” wine with each of the varieties contributing something desirable (however small) to the final blend whether it be fruit flavour and/or aroma, colour, tannin, acidity or a combination of these. Spicy/savoury, fine, long and intense palate, medium-bodied, sour cherry/spice.
