2015 Vintage

The 2015 vintage was close to ideal in the Yarra Valley.

A dry winter and spring with record warmth in October saw the vines leap out of the starting blocks and race to another very early harvest. Yields were all higher than in recent years, but even though a hot (though not windy) January was to follow, the vine canopies remained in perfect health.

James Halliday writes

(Halliday Wine Companion 2017)

“The foretaste of the 2015 Pinot Shiraz would be compelling even if there was no other evidence, but all the Yarra Valley makers regard 2015 as a very, very good vintage. There are still many wines from the best producers awaiting release as this book goes to print. My mouth dribbles at the thought of the Yarra Yerings.”

We’ll see you there…
