Australia’s best wines, winemakers and wineries were revealed last night at the 6th annual Halliday Wine Companion Awards and we’re pleased to say that Yarra Yering has once again been placed amongst some of this countries finest.
All eleven of the 2016 vintage Yarra Yering wines have scored above the 95 point mark, most notably 99 points for 2016 Carrodus Cabernet Sauvignon and 98 points for the 2016 Carrodus Shiraz.
After taking out the 2017 Halliday Winemaker of the Year award, Yarra Yering’s Sarah Crowe was once again very pleased with the performance of the 2016 vintage.
“The ongoing high ratings for our Yarra Yering wines show passion and a commitment to detail from the whole Yarra Yering team. Outstanding results for what was one of the tougher vintages in recent times.”
Warramate Wines also impressed the judges this year with the 2016 Warramate Syrah scoring 95 points and 94 points for the 2017 Warramate Chardonnay
