Varietals: 100% Pinot Noir
Region: Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia
Vines: A small bottling of the original Pinot noir vines planted in 1969.
Cellaring: So easy to drink in its youth and will evolve for a further 15 years under suitable cellaring conditions.
Analysis: 13 % Alc.
Hand harvested and destemmed without crushing to retain whole berries in 600kg ‘tea chest’ fermenters. Some stalks return to bring lift and structure. Hand plunged twice daily for gentle extraction before gentle pressing. Maturation in French oak barrels, 40% new for 10 months.
Aroma: Beautiful primary cherry fruit lift and pretty violets. Highly aromatic
Palate: An elegant and silky fruit profile, juicy cherry fruits expand once the wine hits the palate. Some graphite and oak char brings structure to the finish. The words don’t come easy, it might leave you speechless.
