White flesh stonefruits and a vanillin sweetness present as a richly generous nose. The palate follows with a ripe fruit power driving the palate weight and a bright grapefruit acidity keeps it fresh and lively. A subtle oak presence provides some tannin and a nice phenolic grip to make a complete and interesting wine.
Hand harvested, the bunches were chilled overnight and then whole bunch pressed for the finest quality juice. The juice is then sent directly to barrel for fermentation and then maturation, all French oak with 35% new barrels. Left on full yeast lees untouched for 10 months on the primary yeast lees to build weight and complexity before bottling.

Vines: The Crécy block is planted to a combination of impressive modern Chardonnay clones alongside our traditional old vine Yarra Yering clone. There are 7 unique plantings of clone and rootstock in this block.
Cellaring: A beautifully balanced wine in its youth that can be cellared for 5-10 years when stored under suitable conditions.
