Approachable yet sophisticated, and always a little playful.

WARRAMATE

From our 1970 dry-grown vineyard nestled alongside Yarra Yering, we make vibrant, layered wines that deliver drinkability with detail.

THE VINEYARD

Warramate sits at the foot of the Warramate Hills in Gruyere, in Victoria’s
Yarra Valley.

Planted by Jack and June Church in 1970,
the vineyard has been dry-grown for more
than five decades.

The vines rely on natural rainfall, sending
their roots deep into the earth below.

Today, the vineyard is cared for by vineyard
manager Andrew George and his team, with a focus
on soil health, biodiversity and the long-term
future of the site. Warramate is a certified member
of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.

THE LANDSCAPE, THROUGH AN ARTIST’S EYES

THE LANDSCAPE,
THROUGH AN ARTIST’S EYES

The artwork at the heart of Warramate was created by Australian
artist Marina Strocchi.

Born in Melbourne, Marina spent three decades living and working in Central Australia, where she established the Ikuntji Art Centre at Haasts Bluff and worked extensively across Central Desert communities, mentoring Indigenous artists while exhibiting her own work nationally and internationally.

She returned to Victoria in 2021 and now lives and works in the Yarra Valley.

Commissioned for Warramate, her original painting, Warramate Hills, Yarra Yering, captures the landscape surrounding the two
vineyards through her distinctive use of shape, colour and rhythm.

THE WINES

Made by Sarah Crowe at Yarra Yering, the Warramate wines are shaped to express their variety and vineyard clearly.

Vibrant, layered and approachable from release, each wine brings together freshness, fine structure and a playful edge.
